ALICE Rucksack Yonif Linud 502 (attributed)

ALICE (All-purpose Lightweight Indivial Carrying Equipment) rucksack that was procured from Korea, most likely around the late 80s when we also obtained an M16 license from Daewoo. It got its nickname from it, Ransel Korea.

This particular rucksack is attributed to Fauzi Saleh, Yonif Linud 502 personnel (I got his Taruna shirt also, worn in ’87). It’s the paratrooper version with distinctive orange lists and more like “parachute” material rather than heavy canvas. Dated 93/94.

The standard version made with usual heavy canvas, darker green colour and made in Indonesia.

What’s more, it still comes with its original frame, making it an incredibly rare find in today’s market. I couldn’t be happier to have it in my possession.
